First Images With The Nikon D80 In Vivid Mode
Posted by David Chin on September 21st, 2006 in Amazing Nikon D80 Image SamplesAloharob presents this fantastic series of resized JPEG Large / Fine images, straight from the Nikon D80.

Having used a D200 before (not mine, my brother-in-law’s) and playing around with the optimization modes, I found myself liking the More Vivid setting a lot, especially when shooting nature and landscape photos. Vivid mode is a gentler version, for those who don’t prefer their images to be so saturated and contrasty.
It’s good to see the Nikon D80’s color performance shine in the Vivid mode too.

- Using the “blinking highlights” mode while reviewing the image assists in determining a suitable exposure to aim for.
